Silver Squares

We had a lot of wonderful dancing this spring … even though it felt more like winter!! Looking back at our dances we had a lot of fun. We started with a Mardi Gras Dance then the amazing and famous Soup and Sandwich Potluck. The Soup and Sandwich Dance Potluck started at noon so we could eat first and then dance off the extra pounds!

We enjoyed the wearin’ of the green at our St. Patrick’s Dance and we all loved dressing up in our boots, hats, and western attire at our Western Dance. Real spring is now here, and we celebrated with the T Shirt Dance, and our most amazing Pie Day Dance. Every kind of pie came into Silver Squares and it’s a wonder that anyone could dance.

Looking forward to June there will be much fun for everyone. We enter June with the fun and festive Hawaiian Dance on June 1st, our Flag Day Dance honoring our flag on June 8th, the Disney Day Dance on June 15th where you can dress up as your favorite Disney character, and end with a Silver Squares Picnic on June 29th.

July and August are busy months for all and square dancing is no different. We start off with an Ice Cream Social on July 13th, our most fun Apron Dance on July 27th, the Crazy Hat Dance on August 10th, and end with our 50’s dance celebrating with Root Beer Floats.

Our committee has worked hard to put together a calendar full of fun, laughter and lots of dancing. Make sure you check out the schedule for any upcoming event details or any changes. Look under the Flyers tab and you will find our 2026 calendar with individual flyers for each event we hold. There is lots of opportunity to dance. Remember that we dance weekly so dust off your dancing shoes and come over to Silver Squares!
